The company’s managing director, Dr Paula Carey, and technical director, Professor Colin Hills, attended the India launch of the Indo-UK Environmental Research Centre in Delhi on 13 February 2017.

The launch was timed to coincide with a conference on low carbon technologies and waste management where both Colin and Paula gave presentations on Carbon8 Systems and ACT.

The centre involves collaboration between Carbon8 Systems and a number of UK universities led by the University of Greenwich; bringing together expertise in CO2 utilisation, metal recovery and geotechnics in the area of waste management.

The UK group stayed on to attend NxGnMiFu-2017; an international conference on NexGen Technologies for Mining and Fuel Industries and gave several presentations including a keynote lecture from Dr Carey on the potential for the use of Accelerated Carbonation in India.
